This unusual single storey two bedroomed cottage sits on the entrance to the courtyard facing open farmland. The stable door opens into the pretty Shaker-style Kitchen, which is open plan to the Living and Dining area. A key feature of this large comfortable room is its wood-burning stove which gives a homely glow, so you can relax back into the sumptuous sofas and old world charm.
Ideal for young families, the elderly or anyone finding stairs a problem, its two Bedrooms and one Bathroom are accessed via a shallow single step into an inner Hallway. A Double Bedroom nestles to the rear of the property so is quiet and perfect for a good night’s sleep. The Twin Bedroom features a stain glassed window depicting the cross which gave the cottage its name. The Bathroom lies between both Bedrooms and has a good sized, easily-accessed shower.
Free Wi-Fi available, and all crisp white cotton bedlinen, hairdryer and bath towels are included, so you only need to bring beach towels. A starter basket of logs is supplied free with each booking and subsequent bags of logs charged at £5 per bag. Kitchen equipment includes microwave, fridge with icebox and dishwasher. Guests also have access to a washing machine which is situated in an outhouse, on request. For four legged guests, the cottage is opposite open fields for morning and evening jaunts, and an easy, circular walk up to the Moor and back to the village (via The Old Inn if you so wish!). There is a hose in the garage if any muddy dogs need a wash down. Bicycles, body boards and wetsuits can also be stored in the garage if required.
Check in is after 4pm, and departure is by 10am.
